biovativ cooperates with universities, institutes and other companies to:

advance scientifically interesting, sustainable and problem-orientated developments in plant production and foster their way to productivity

develop methods to isolate and exploit economically interesting ingredients from genetically modified and conventional plants and transfer them to pilot plan scale

carry out multidisciplinary risk assessment research and economic feasibility studies in greenhouse and field experiments in order to analyse and assess the sustainability of methods and products

collect and publish information about strategies in agro biotechnology

biovativ is based in the AgroBioTechnikum Groß Lüsewitz with its excellent facilities:

farmland area for field trials with both conventional and genetically modified plants

greenhouse area of security level S1 for experiments also under demanding conditions

S1 laboratories for biotechnological research, development and production

specially equipped rooms (cold storage rooms, acclimatised rooms, plant breeding rooms, dry rooms, rooms with special laboratory equipment)

qualitative DNA analysis: general and specific screening for genetically modified components

quantitative DNA analysis: measuring the amount of genetically modified components

RNA analysis: assays according to customer's request, specific detection of transgenic RNA

proteine analysis: measuring the total proteine by Bradford's procedure
